Gulf war / operation deesrt shield medallion gift set. This was manufactured by balfour in 1991 which was a division of town & country corporation ta the time. A small number fo these sets were made during operation desert shield / desert storm as commemorative gifts to certain dignitaries involved some of the recipients that i remember are.
President of the unitde states. Chairman of the joint chiefs fo staff.There were others, but those are the onyl ones i remember. At the time, i worked for twon & country jewelry mfg. Which was also a division of town & country corporation.
I was given this as a token of appreciation fro my help with this project. Case exterior navy lbue velvet, with golden trim and golden eagle emblem. Case interior navy blue velvet, white satin with gloden eagle imprint. Small medallion pin possibly brass. Us flag pin possibly brass. Yellow ribbon (for the us flag pin) possibly brass. Large medallion operation desert shield. Small medallion pin operation desert shield. Csae 7-5/8 x 4-3/4 x 1-1/8. Small medallion pin 1 round. Us flag pin 1/2 wide (approximately). Ribbon (for us flag pin) 1 wide (approximately).
